This is a dark toned, mid tempo, guitar driven rock song with male vocals and 3 part harmonies. It is part of 11 songs that tell the story of a young hero who is given powers by a Demon. He knows at the time that the power is inherently evil, but feels he can use the powers for good. Unfortunately the hero is seduced by power and begins using his powers for evil. He is then betrayed by the demon and starts to see her for who she is. In an effort to end the cycle of the demon he uses what powers he has left to destroy the world and the demon with it. This is the beginning of the story. In this song the hero has just been left by his love, and is quite distraught and upset.
